The Opportunity:
The Director, Provider Network Development will lead and oversee the planning, development, and management of Better Health Group’s business-to-business growth operating model and sales function. Focused on adding independent clinics to BHG’s growing network, this leadership role is critical to driving network growth and nurturing strong relationships with prospective and current providers. The incumbent will manage a team of Provider Network Development Managers who promote, offer, and sell value-based solutions to primary care clinics.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- Achieves growth goals by increasing the number of new and existing clinics (TINs), providers, and patients participating in BHG’s value-based Medicare contracts and model.
- Develops and executes strategic and tactical plans to meet growth goals.
- Set and monitor teams and individual performance goals and key performance metrics.
- Personally leads, manages, and supports a team of Provider Network Development Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and improvement.
- Garners and evaluates market intelligence to better inform and optimize BHG’s segmentation, offer, product roadmap, and overall go-to-market approach.
- Partner with Content to define, refine, and model the standards for messaging around BHG’s value proposition, unique selling propositions, and offers.
- Personally mentor team members in best practices for account-based marketing, prospecting, and selling.
- Partner with Growth Operations, Content, and internal Product Owners to create and curate a robust enablement and training program for market-facing roles that ensure sales and account management teams are competent with their technical and soft skills.
- Develops best-in-class design and utilization of CRM and marketing automation processes to create an efficient, informed, end-to-end sales process.
- Leads negotiations with providers and health systems to ensure favorable terms and alignment with organizational financial goals and compliance requirements
- Works closely with internal teams, including Finance, Operations, and Compliance, to ensure network development is aligned with BHG’s business and operational strategy.
- Ensures all network development activities adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and quality standards
- Develops and manages budgets related to network expansion, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
Position Requirements/Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Marketing, Communication, Sales Management, or other relevant field, or would consider equivalent years of directly related experience in place of a degree
- 7+ years of related experience in healthcare contracting, business development, marketing, sales, provider recruiting, or operations, or would consider 5+ years of direct network development experience working in a Value-based Care (VBC) or Accountable Care Organization (ACO) entity
- Minimum of 5 years experience leading a B2B sales team
- Proven sales experience (e.g., needs-based selling, Miller Heiman, Challenger, SPIN)
- Proficient with Google Suite, CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc) and sales automation tools (e.g. Outreach.IO, Gong)
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, and excellent influencing and negotiation skills
- Must be comfortable communicating with multiple levels within an organization
- Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking with strong attention to detail
- Must be results-oriented with a focus on quality execution and delivery

Physical Requirements

Compensation/Incentive Plan:
Base Salary Range: $117,480-$182,100
The listed pay range reflects base salary only. This position also includes a performance-based incentive opportunity, with a target of up to 80% of annual salary, contingent on achieving growth targets and performance expectations.
