Responsibilities

 

Reports To: Assistant Controller

 

 

Position Objective:

 

The Sr Accountant is an administrative role and responsible for reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. The incumbent will ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis) in compliance with GAAP performing GL (performing GL and account reconciliations and analysis) 
  • Prepare and analyze financial reporting and prepare support schedules
  • Partner with various departments to understand and support business processes, ensure proper accounting, and resolve reconciling difference 
  • Prepare intercompany reconciliations and transactions 
  • Assist in company’s financial management, including all account reconciliations and reporting to necessary parties 
  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
  • Prepare supporting documentation for quarterly reviews and annual audits
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Prepare account reconciliations related to operations
  • Additional duties as assigned



 

Position Requirements/ Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance
  • Experience working with multiple legal entities
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements
  • Experience closing out month and year end financial statements
  • Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for real-time collaboration
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred



Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time

  • Communicating with others to exchange information

  • Repeating motions that may include the wrist, hands, and/or fingers

  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned

  • Must be able to lift at least 15lbs at times

  • Oracle NetSuite knowledge preferred, but not required
